Quality Assurance (QA) Manager
to lead our quality control and compliance initiatives.
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead and manage the Quality Department and all quality programs and certifications. You will ensure that quality programs, facility infrastructure, production lines, and employees uphold world-class food safety and quality standards.
Job Summary:
The QA Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of quality management systems (QMS).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for the manufacturing facility.
Ensure Eco Guardian is certified to SQF, ISO14001 and other food accreditations
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer specifications.
Oversee product inspections, testing, and quality control processes throughout production.
Lead safety team and maintain 'zero lost time'
Lead investigations into quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO and other applicable standards.
Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party audits and certifications.
Accountable for the maximum performance, technical competence and personal development of the QA team through hiring, developing, evaluating and motivating personnel
Knowledge if ISO 45001 and Ecovadis would be a great asset
Train and mentor staff on quality assurance best practices and standard operating procedures.
Work closely with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
Monitor key quality performance indicators and generate reports for senior management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Liaise with customer service on complaints
Nurture the Eco Guardian culture and code of conduct
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
Experience with ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, or other relevant quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
Strong leadership and communication skills to work cross-functionally.
Proficiency in quality control tools, data analysis, and reporting.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
