Reporting to the QA Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining and improving Quality and Food Safety Standards at the Fountain Street Warehouse. This role will involve working with warehouse supervisors and employees to ensure that all procedures are being followed as per BRCGS.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Maintain the documentation as required by the BRCGS (GMP/HACCP, Process CP\xe2\x80\x99s and CCP\xe2\x80\x99s) and FSMA Food Safety Program.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns
  • Conduct investigations on non-conforming products (Food Quality or Safety) and customer complaints
  • Document and complete internal/customer summary reports and follow up on the completion of CAR\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Participate in Food Safety Audits (BRC, FSMA, Kosher, CFIA and customer).
  • Conduct and participate in internal audits and inspections
  • Assist in maintaining food safety procedures and SOPs.
  • Provide annually or as needed Food Safety training to warehouse management and employees.
  • Participate in the monthly Senior Management Commitment Meeting.
  • Back up to the Lab Tech and QA Manager as needed.
  • Assist in the completion of traceability and mass balance exercises
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or related fields and at least two years of experience directly coordinating a Food Safety Program.
  • Knowledge and experience with BRCGS and HACCP
  • Possess strong communication (both oral and written) and documentation skills and be able to constructively work individually or collaborate within a team environment.
  • Must have good organizational and inter-personal skills and ability to multi\xe2\x80\x93task and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
