Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

As a Technical Quality Assurance Coordinator, reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for overseeing activities related to Quality Assurance in the NRB Modular Solutions facilities. You will oversee and supervise all aspects of Quality Assurance including verification of drawing releases, calibration of equipment, creation of test plans, quality plan manuals, communication with inter-departmental team members regarding the root cause analysis, project audits, archiving, retrieval and storing of project related documents.

The Technical Quality Assurance Coordinator will work with management, staff members, and clients to ensure that all quality related documentation is appropriately managed and retrieved as necessary and is stored in accordance with any relevant policies, standards, and/or regulations.

This is an 18 month maternity leave contract role.

Your work will include:

  • Verify the drawing releases as per the Document Control Checklist and raise non-conformances if any discrepancy is encountered
  • Assist in the creation of Inspection Test Plan (ITPs) and Project Quality Plans (PQPs) for the projects as per the company guidelines and practices
  • Facilitate in leading the equipment calibration process and monitor the status of calibration in all four facilities of NRB Modular Solutions (Calgary, Kamloops, Grimsby, and Cambridge)
  • Support the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process of the internal and external issues encountered in the projects
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental personnel towards the completion of Turnover and O&M Manuals of the completed projects
  • Assist with the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) and Preventive Action Report (PAR) activities such as communicating audit plan, follow-up and effectiveness of actions implemented
  • Support production and manufacturing on design and drawing requirement
  • All communications are done in an accurate and timely manner
  • Complete drawing checks and reviews based on DC drawing checklist
  • Communicate with appropriate department discrepancies and deviations needing corrections
  • Ensures documents are proofread and adhere to format, content and style guidelines considering usability, consistency, and quality
  • Travel to Kamloops, BC and Ontario may be required

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Must have graduated with a High School Diploma
  • A diploma or degree or equivalent from an accredited University or college in Quality Control or Quality Assurance related domain is considered an asset
2 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance preferred * Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of all MS Office Suite of software, with focus on Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of Engineering terminology, Technical Building Drawings interpretation, Calibration and Auditing is an asset
