Overview

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for experienced Quality Assurance Analysts (Software Developer in Test) to evaluate, improve, and maintain WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s IT systems and our business operations and processes. Do you have experience in Test automation, scripting and developing test strategy in Azure DevOps? Do you like collaborating with multiple teams and product areas to develop and execute test strategy? We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking an intermediate quality assurance analyst to work with the QA lead in alignment with QA strategy and roadmap to advocate, guide, and coach business, development, and QA team members towards optimized QA maturity levels in our agile environment.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

As a Quality Assurance Analyst II you will:

  • Collaborate with multiple teams and product areas to develop and execute test strategy and design complex test scenarios.
  • Identify testing related risks and recommend risk mitigation
  • Foster shift-left testing principles and enable continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
  • Analyze business and system requirements to create and execute detailed test cases.
  • Develop quality gates (entry and exit criteria) of acceptance test strategy and plan
  • Provide leadership by enabling high performing teams - engaging, motivating, and influencing teams while advocating and enforcing quality assurance standards during all phases of testing
  • Be a business domain knowledge subject matter expert for quality discipline that aligns with the QA strategy and roadmap
  • Provide input to the development of QA approaches for products (projects and sustainment) in a cloud and hybrid environment to ensure best practices are reflected in the plans for QA and automation

Your background and experience
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field
  • A minimum of seven years of experience working in an information systems operations environment in system analysis or development with experience in processes and products preferably RobotFramework, LoadRunner, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD, Of the nine years, you have:
  • four years of experience testing software
  • two years of experience working in an agile development environment
  • two years of experience leading quality assurance/testing teams

Salary: $43.57 \xe2\x80\x93 $52.82/hourly
