We are looking for a

Quality Associate

a skilled individual responsible for the daily maintenance of the Quality Management System at Southmedic Inc




What You Will Do




Update the QA Team Lead and/or Quality Supervisor with any issues as they arise that could affect customer satisfaction Participate on the Internal Audit Team as required Identify areas of opportunities within the Quality Management System (QMS) to support Southmedic's key business objectives Take ownership of projects and work independently within a team environment to reach departmental and company goals Communicate clearly, effectively and professionally within the Southmedic team Interface with co-workers in a courteous professional manner Administrative support to the Quality Supervisor and Director of Quality Follow all applicable Southmedic policies, procedures and work instructions All other projects and duties as assigned Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to pending documentation revision changes that could have an impact to current employees. This includes, changes to the Organizational Chart as well as changes to policies and procedures. Ensure Quality concerns are effectively communicated between all shifts and all internal stakeholders. Identify, isolate, and document Non-Conformances. Champion internal non conformances from initiation to closure. Read and interpret; drawings/blueprints, regulatory requirements, and customer specific requirements. Create internal Quality Alerts. Perform dimensional studies as required. Participate in measurement systems analysis as required. Daily Clean Room pressure monitoring when required. Ensure that all manufactured product meets or exceeds specification, achieved through Receiving Inspection of raw materials, approval of first off / last off samples, inspection of In-Process products, and release inspections as required Use quality tools to establish root cause Conduct final review of batch records Perform dimensional studies as required Receiving Inspection of raw blades.



What We Need




A Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance or Science-based discipline and /or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience is considered an asset. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment working within a Quality Management System compliant to an ISO standard is considered an asset. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are key components to this position. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficient with computers using Microsoft applications Flexible to work all shifts and overtime with minimal notice.
