Position Summary

Qualified School-Age Educator (TES)

plays a vital role in supporting the development, inclusion, and well-being of children in our before- and after-school programs. This position requires a compassionate professional who can design and implement engaging activities while supporting children with diverse needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and implement inclusive, engaging educational programs tailored to children's needs. Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with exceptionalities. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to promote holistic child development. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and individualized support. Facilitate activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and learning. Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Responsabilites principales



Developper et mettre en oeuvre des programmes educatifs inclusifs et stimulants adaptes aux besoins des enfants. Favoriser une atmosphere sure, bienveillante et inclusive pour tous les enfants, y compris ceux ayant des besoins particuliers. Collaborer avec les parents, les soignants et les collegues afin de promouvoir le developpement global des enfants. Observer et evaluer les progres des enfants, fournir des retroactions et un soutien individualise. Animer des activites favorisant les interactions sociales, la creativite et l'apprentissage. Maintenir un environnement propre et organise propice a l'apprentissage et au jeu. Participer aux activites de perfectionnement professionnel continu. Accomplir toute autre tache connexe.

Qualifications



Mandatory:

Bilingual in French and English (oral and written). Diploma in Special Education Techniques (TES) - Required. Proven experience working with children in educational or care settings. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt programming to meet diverse developmental needs. Experience working with children with disabilities considered an asset. Commitment to inclusion, empathy, and child-centered care.

Qualifications



Obligatoire :

Bilinguisme francais et anglais (oral et ecrit). Diplome en Techniques d'education specialisee (TES) - Exige. Experience averee dans le travail avec les enfants dans des milieux educatifs ou de soins. Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en collaboration. Capacite a adapter les programmes selon les besoins varies des enfants. Experience aupres d'enfants ayant des handicaps consideres comme un atout.
Engagement envers l'inclusion, l'empathie et le bien-etre des enfants.

Compensation & Employment Details



Hourly Wage:

$25 base + $2 WEG + $1 PRIME Split Shift = $28 total

Bonus:

$1,000 sign on bonus ($500 after probation period is complete, $500 after 1 year of service)

Hours of Work:

30-44 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Overtime will be compensated in accordance with the

Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA)

.
