Job Description


Northern Crescent Inc. is an innovative and growing company focused on design services for upstream and midstream facilities and pipelines. We provide practical solutions to engineering problems using routine and advanced analysis. We are currently seeking a QHSE Coordinator(Contract/Part-time) to join our team in our Calgary office. Responsibilities

  • Preparation of safety and quality documentation to support project execution and ensure that project teams are complying with company and client requirements, and industry standards
  • Facilitate Lessons Learned for projects
  • Participate in Internal Audits (ISO 9001, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) as well as support external audits
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and implement innovative solutions
  • Support / Lead incident investigations and reviews. Participate/lead major incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis
  • Develop Health and safety stats and trending analysis for all company sites.
  • Update safety metrics and administer incident tracking database
  • Performs data entry to ensure quality on incident tracking systems, monitor and set for approval, create reports in ISN and other third-party systems.
  • Provide support and administrative assistance to the health and safety team
  • Communicate information to employees regarding health and safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for communication on safety bulletin boards and developing other means of communication
  • Attend, facilitate and participate in weekly safety talks, monthly meetings and audits
  • Processing and finalizing reports to be completed in a timely matter
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in health and safety, or equivalent education and experience
  • Previous work experience in an engineering company or EPC company will be an asset.
  • Designation as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or recognized equivalent would be considered an asset
  • 1-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role
  • Comprehensive/working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards
  • Strong computer proficiency including MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and computer databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic, goal-oriented, enthusiastic and a positive attitude

Part-time hours: 10-15 per week Salary: From $35.00 per hour Schedule:
  • On call
COVID-19 considerations:
Remote position for someone living in Calgary. Occasional work from the office for team meetings or presentations. Experience:
  • HSE: 1 year (preferred)
  • QA/QC: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) (preferred)
