The QC/Survey position requires the successful candidate to be detail orientated and physically fit with the ability to thrive working independently in a fast-paced atmosphere. A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred. Candidate will be expected to work in both field and laboratory environments to test materials. A minimum Class 5 license is required.


Job Overview and Responsibilities

Conduct on-site inspection and testing of aggregate and asphalt materials Complete prompt and accurate testing and reporting of results Schedule and document utility locates Various surveys including job layouts, completed work, aggregate stock piles, and reclamation Assist crews as needed Understand and follow the Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones Comply with safe working procedures and practices Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November) Other duties as required
