The products that Sunsel manufactures are utilized everyday in industries such as Communications, Oceanographic Sciences, Transportation, Entertainment and Food & Hospitality. THE ROLE This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Quality Assurance professional who values diversity and thrives in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you play a pivotal role in planning, leading and managing the organization and delegation of production support for in-process inspection of printed circuit boards, final inspection of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board assemblies and support of the quality system as required in an ISO 9001:2015 certified electronics manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager assures consistent quality of production by developing best practices and enforcing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems, validating processes with a focus on continuous improvement, providing documentation and managing staff. Key Accountabilities:

  • Delegation and scheduling of Quality Assurance Team to ensure optimum use of time and resources
  • Organize and promote companywide quality improvement efforts
  • Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality and reliability
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the company quality system, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system
  • Act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to quality and the quality system
  • Manage quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods
  • Conduct visual inspection of PCBs and assemblies, operate Automated Optical
  • Inspection equipment and component X-Ray machine when required
  • Complete in-process inspections and, first off inspections from various production lines
  • Prepare and investigate non-conformance reports
  • Assist with failure analysis to find cause and corrective action investigations
  • Prepare certificates of conformance
  • Manage the Calibration Database to ensure all equipment calibrations are conducted as required
  • Assist with preparation of production job documentation
  • Support and monitoring adherence to ISO 9001 certified quality system
What You Bring to The Team Key Experience:
  • Electronics Engineering Technician / Technologist Diploma or other related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive experience leading a team, preferably in an electronic manufacturing or manufacturing environment
  • Experience conducting root-cause and corrective action investigations
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility or company
  • IPC Certification A-610 and/or J-STD-001
  • Experience conducting FMEAs
  • Senior leadership experience managing cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability of building a strong, collaborative culture, driving and exceeding projected results
  • Understanding and implementation of all Sunsel\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety Procedures
