Position Overview

As an QA Engineer (P.Eng), you provide technical oversight for QA and coating integrity programs, review and interpret specifications, validate test procedures and acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with BC Hydro standards and project requirements. You also coordinate with field inspectors and contractors to resolve nonconformances and deliver clear, auditable engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review coating specifications, ITPs, and QA plans. Review inspection data and approve final QA reports. Support design integrity, failure analysis, and technical audits. Interface with BC Hydro engineering teams and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with EGBC, CSA, and NACE/AMPP standards.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (P.Eng, EGBC) registration (required). NACE/AMPP CIP Level 3 or Coating Specialist Certification preferred. 10+ years in coatings, corrosion, or materials engineering. Strong technical writing and project coordination skills.
