Job Description

Atimi is seeking a senior QA automation team member for mobile and web app testing for a permanent, full-time position based in Vancouver, BC. You will be testing a variety of our world-class apps we build for our Fortune 5000 clients. Working in a highly supportive team of skilled developers and testers, you will drive the automation effort across consumer and enterprise apps. We are looking for a senior person who can help enhance our automation development effort.

Responsibilities

• Build world-class automation frameworks
• Develop test scripts to ensure robust support of existing features
• Review and support other automation engineers
• Supporting full time QA by analyzing requirements for the architecture of test automation solutions, determining current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, the selection of new concepts and methodology, and the development of major routines and utilities.
• Work with the QA lead to ensure the highest quality releases.
• Report test status to QA lead, management and other stakeholders in a clear and consistent way

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of software QA experience
• Minimum 2+ years automation experience with Selenium and Java
• Passion for software testing, test planning, and process
• Solid Java development skills
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following testing technologies/toolsets/frameworks:

• Appium, Selenium Grid/WebDriver, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG, JavaScript, Eclipse, IntelliJ
• Excellent written and verbal communication sills

• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
• Experience working on large scale systems, including test strategy, test plans, and test automation
• Experience in test automation maintenance, and selection of tools
• Demonstrable proficiency in a scripting language
• Use of log files and other sources to deep dive on issues

Nice to Haves

• Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to track components simultaneously and synthesize results.
• Experience working with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses
• Exposure to Non-functional (performance, security, ADA) testing
• Experience in a fast-paced agile development environment
• Results-oriented with strong customer focus
• Other technical skills to support white box testing
