THE OPPORTUNITY

Perform a variety of internal checks in accordance with the Company's Quality Management System standards. Perform sampling and water activity testing on finished products. Inspect work in process to ensure quality specifications, SOP's and SSOP's are being followed. Provide guidance and input to employees regarding product specifications and quality issues. Monitor Positive Release Program for compliance. Perform quality inspections on raw or finished products at set frequency to ensure products are within specifications. Conduct specified testing, checks, swabbing, formulations, and calibrations. Monitor and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices with employees. Stop production when test results or checks deviate from expected results. Monitor quality systems documentation for completeness and compliance. Cover weekend production shifts Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor. Follow all prescribed SOPs, HACCP, and GMP procedures. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Read, write, and communicate (English) Completion of quality assurance related courses or have relevant QA experience 3 years' experience in a food manufacturing preferred Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Must be mechanically inclined Ability to work effectively both as an individual and a team member Ability to work in a cold environment Must have good organizational skills
