The Pursuits Specialist is a member of the Client Development group, and reports to the Director, Pursuits. As a Pursuits Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely delivery of proposal materials, and the development of professional quality presentations for business development calls and client visits.


Major Responsibilities




Responsible for production and delivery of proposals/pitches in French and in English Assess client requirements in discussions with Partners and BD leads Provide recommendations on positioning Osler's team, experience, and key differentiators and develop compelling materials Collaborate with the Pricing Team to establish messaging around pricing and value adds Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Partners and other team members in Client Development and Marketing Develop proposals and presentations in Word and PowerPoint Support the preparation of regular reporting on RFPs and pitches Follow up with legal teams on status of bid (win/loss) Monitor procurement websites, ensures RFP addendums are distributed on a timely basis CRM database assistance Working with marketing team to maintain Osler brand compliance

Position Requirements




Education and Experience



The position requires a university degree, college diploma, or relevant work experience, with two to five years of experience in the legal or professional services industry. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be acceptable.


Knowledge and Skills


Fluency in both French and English required in both written and verbal communication Must have strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Extremely well organized with superb attention to detail and excellent time management Document design and assembly expertise An ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships Pro-active thinker with the ability and willingness to listen and to influence Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours as required A team player who also works well independently

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
