Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Purchasing Specialist on a permanent basis.

We are currently transforming our procurement structure and operating model from a decentralized, tactical procurement organization to one that is center-led, strategic, competitive and agile in nature. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground level, and be part of the change!

This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

This position is responsible for handling routine goods and services procurement as well as purchasing transactions for materials, equipment, supplies, and products for capital construction projects and various lines of business throughout the organization.

• You will be responsible for enabling an efficient purchasing process within the business units
• You will work with internal and external stakeholders to determine supply needs, quality and delivery requirements
• You will be responsible for administering supplier and contractor information and building supplier relationships
• You will collaborate with project stakeholders in preparing and executing sourcing events
• You will work on the development and implementation of our procure to pay system

The Team: You will be part of the Procurement Services team and work closely with Procurement Advisors and the Strategic Sourcing Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration and openness.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

• You have a Degree or Diploma in Business or Supply Chain
• You have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement functions
• You have or are working towards a Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) Diploma/Certificate or equivalent
