Role Overview
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-driven
Purchasing Specialist
to support our procurement and supply chain operations. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Purchasing Lead to ensure accurate ordering, supplier coordination, data management, and logistics support. You'll play a key part in keeping our inventory flowing smoothly--from purchase orders to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
Assist with creating and managing purchase orders based on demand planning and inventory levels
Communicate with suppliers to confirm product availability, pricing, and lead times
Prepare and track required documentation for orders and international shipments
Monitor order status, follow up on delays, and resolve discrepancies proactively
Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate data in purchasing tools (e.g., Netstock, ERP/WMS systems, spreadsheets)
Set up and manage supplier records, product pricing, and purchasing histories
Support the upkeep of digital filing systems and order documentation
Logistics & Scheduling Support
Coordinate inbound shipments with freight and logistics partners
Track deliveries and keep internal teams updated on order status
Help troubleshoot logistics issues with carriers and suppliers
Reporting & Analysis
Assist in generating reports related to purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance
Compile data for cost analysis, forecast accuracy, and vendor evaluations
General Administrative Support
Perform additional administrative tasks and support special projects as needed
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; ERP/WMS experience is an asset
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
