Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, sourcing materials, and ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems, SAP, and manufacturing processes to optimize purchasing strategies and support production needs. The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in maintaining cost-effective procurement practices while ensuring quality and timely delivery of materials.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet manufacturing requirements efficiently Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable conditions Oversee procurement processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and other MRP tools Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify new sourcing opportunities Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency

Experience

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP and other supply chain management tools Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, negotiation, and pricing strategies Familiarity with MRP systems, sourcing techniques, and supply chain logistics Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and stakeholder collaboration Ability to analyze market data and develop sourcing strategies aligned with business goals Prior experience managing procurement teams or leading cross-functional projects is preferred

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
