At Summit Valve, your hard work does not go unnoticed. We are a Western Canadian based distributor of valves, actuators, and instrumentation products. We need an exceptional Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.
What does this mean?
As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be part of our Procurement Team. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing operations and independently managing all aspects of the purchasing process in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role ensures accurate and timely procurement of products and contributes to inventory optimization and operational efficiency. Possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Key Responsibilities include:
Primary Responsibilities
Issue purchase orders for day-to-day operations (purchase to ship, complex to ship).
Provide order confirmations to customers effectively and efficiently.
Manage purchase order revisions, including pricing, quantity, and delivery adjustments as needed.
Resolve receiving holds and discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse personnel and vendors.
Review and process purchase orders for routine inventory replenishment.
Coordinate free issue product based on customer requirements.
Maintain item creation accuracy to maintain accurate item master data
Secondary Responsibilities
Generate picklists to support fulfillment operations and work cross-functionally with warehouse personnel.
Process and enter vendor order confirmations and shipment notifications accurately and promptly.
Monitor the shared Order Support inbox, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of requests.
Collaborates with sales, operations, and customer service teams to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
An associate degree with equivalent relevant experience may be accepted.
3-5 years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics, or a related field.
Experience working with CRM and ERP systems preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience expediting orders, inventory coordination, or vendor communication is a strong plus.
Experience in manufacturing or distribution is desirable.
