Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Develops, implements and maintains stock control systems and procedures for departmental supplies and equipment for designated departments/areas as required by the hospital and consults with customer departments and programs regarding requirements for specialized equipment/supplies and services.
  • Completes requisitions for supplies and equipment, contacts suppliers and representatives, conducts inventory audits, establishes and/or revises re-order points and administers standing orders for vendor direct items and specialized equipment/supplies.

What you bring
  • Grade 12 and three (3) years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Job Type: Casual (Casual is defined as on call with no guaranteed hours. Shifts can be called out via short call (1-5 hours of notice) or pre-booked)
Wage: $26.65/per hour + 12.6% in lieu
Location: 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver BC V6H 2N9

Hours of Work: 07:00-15:00; 08:00-16:00; 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday
