A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Purchasing & Planning Manager, you will lead the purchasing team (buyers, senior strategic buyer, inventory specialist, and contract administrator) and the planning activities at the distribution transformers factory in Trois-Rivieres.
Leading your team, you'll ensure on-time production by making sure that materials are available as required according to delivery schedules. You'll contribute to the plant's success by negotiating favourable purchasing terms and maintaining optimal inventory levels. You will be part of our cross-plant consolidation team and contribute to international procurement initiatives. By developing your team members, you'll also be helping to make our site an attractive employer in a competitive market.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Production Planning & Material Availability: Align customer orders with production capacity and ensure timely material supply to the production line.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee supplier qualifications and negotiations, including handling key contract negotiations personally.
  • Forecasting & Strategy: Develop product forecasts and strategies that comply with local needs and Siemens Energy policies.
  • Performance & Planning: Contribute to quarterly and annual planning, presenting KPIs relevant to your scope.
  • Bidding & Cost Analysis: Support bidding processes by managing delivery timelines and providing material cost insights.
  • Inventory & Process Optimization: Define inventory strategies per parts group and lead improvement initiatives for operations and IT systems.
What You Bring
  • Demonstrated strength in organizational skills, business acumen, and goal-oriented execution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable position leading a supply chain management team with proven ability to collaborate in team environments and lead change initiatives effectively.
  • Significant and practical experience in the use of IT tools for MRP/ERP (ideally SAP) as well as the Microsoft Office suite. IT project management experience is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Skilled in navigating ambiguity with sound judgment, customer focus, and strong decision-making and negotiation capabilities.
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a technical field, or equivalent; fluency in French and English is required for international collaboration and documentation.

Titre du poste: Directeur des Achats et da la Planification
Un apercu de votre journee
En tant que Responsable des Achats et de la Planification, vous dirigerez l'equipe des achats (acheteurs, acheteur strategique principal, specialiste des stocks et administrateur de contrats) ainsi que les activites de planification a l'usine de transformateurs de distribution de Trois-Rivieres.
A la tete de votre equipe, vous veillerez a ce que la production soit realisee dans les delais en garantissant la disponibilite des materiaux selon les calendriers de livraison. Vous contribuerez au succes de l'usine en negociant des conditions d'achat avantageuses et en maintenant des niveaux de stock optimaux. Vous ferez partie de notre equipe de consolidation inter-usines et participerez aux initiatives d'approvisionnement international. En developpant les competences de vos collaborateurs, vous contribuerez egalement a faire de notre site un employeur attractif dans un marche competitif.
Comment vous ferez la difference
  • Planification de la production & disponibilite des materiaux : Aligner les commandes clients avec la capacite de production et assurer l'approvisionnement en materiaux dans les delais.
  • Gestion des fournisseurs : Superviser la qualification et la negociation avec les fournisseurs, y compris la negociation directe des contrats cles.
  • Previsions & strategie : Elaborer des previsions de produits et des strategies conformes aux besoins locaux et aux politiques de Siemens Energy.
  • Suivi de performance & planification : Contribuer a la planification trimestrielle et annuelle, et presenter les indicateurs de performance (KPI) de votre perimetre.
  • Appels d'offres & analyse des couts : Soutenir les processus d'appel d'offres en gerant les delais de livraison et en fournissant des donnees sur les couts des materiaux.
  • Optimisation des stocks & des processus : Definir des strategies de gestion des stocks par groupe de pieces et piloter des projets d'amelioration des processus operationnels et des systemes informatiques.
Ce que vous apportez a l'entreprise
  • Solides competences organisationnelles, sens des affaires et capacite a atteindre les objectifs.
  • Minimum de 3 ans d'experience dans un poste similaire, avec gestion d'equipe en chaine d'approvisionnement et capacite demontree a collaborer et a mener des initiatives de changement.
  • Experience significative et pratique des outils informatiques MRP/ERP (idealement SAP) ainsi que de la suite Microsoft Office. Une experience en gestion de projets informatiques est un atout.
  • Excellentes competences analytiques et organisationnelles. Capacite a evoluer dans l'ambiguite avec discernement, orientation client, et solides aptitudes en prise de decision et en negociation.
  • Diplome universitaire en gestion de la chaine d'approvisionnement, administration des affaires ou domaine technique, ou equivalent. Maitrise du francais et de l'anglais requise pour la collaboration internationale et la documentation.
