Oversee all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services.
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance while maintaining transparent and professional vendor relationships.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best value for KNDS Canada.
Maintain accurate purchase order documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial controls.
Conduct market analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
Coordinate annual physical verification of assets and inventory with the Finance and Operations departments.
Logistics Management
Plan, coordinate, and oversee shipping, receiving, and material movements between KNDS Canada sites.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to meet production and operational requirements.
Manage freight, customs, and transport documentation, ensuring compliance with Canadian and international regulations.
Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse personnel to resolve delivery or shipment issues.
Implement and maintain logistics tracking systems and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure all purchasing and logistics activities adhere to company policies, financial procedures, and ethical standards.
Support the EHS and Finance departments by maintaining audit-ready procurement and shipping documentation.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and logistics KPIs.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain and operational efficiency.
4. Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of Canadian procurement regulations, import/export procedures, and logistics operations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement/logistics software.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
