Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing, inventory planning and control functions for raw materials, packaging components and sundry items required in the day-to-day operations and in support of manufacturing production requirements. Primary activities include but re not limited to planning, sourcing, purchasing, file maintenance, vendor negotiations, coordinating production orders/forecasts with various internal departments while obtaining, interpreting and sharing vendor delivery information.

Requirements:



Negotiate quality, delivery and price with external vendors and process purchase orders internally and externally according to vendors' requirements. Records management - Prepare and maintain records, as required by SOP's, related to operations. Perform analyses of safety stock levels for current inventory profile and adjust as required to optimize levels, minimize carrying cost and avoid inventory stock outs Entering daily receipts of materials from vendor supplied packing slips into system software Assist in the reconciliation of vendor packing slip and invoices against purchase orders Coordinate smooth transition of new product introduction by depleting stock of old products; maintain optimum level of inventory Act as liaison between but not limited to vendors, customer service, manufacturing and quality assurance to communicate all pertinent information such as delivery dates, delays and regulatory issues Assist in performing inventory reconciliations by reviewing movement history, discrepancies, etc Perform all duties in compliance with SOP's, work instructions, GMP's, specific requirements and procedures in place for pharmaceutical raw material purchases and all other regulatory policies and guidelines. Ensure all decisions are based on quality assurance incorporating GMP and quality controls. Safety Data Sheet management. Knowledge, skills and work experience requirements:



Practical experience in area(s) of responsibility - minimum 2 years Proficient in Microsoft Office Software applications (word, excel etc.) Basic understanding of WHMIS, SDS, ISO Quality Management System and Medical Device requirements and terminology would be an asset Work consistently to quality policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Detailed oriented; excellent follow-up skills; excellent communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to prioritize; ability to work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
