Job Description

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for performing numerous duties to help facilitate the purchasing of materials and services for a large real estate company operating in the US and Canada.


The Purchasing Agent will report directly to the Purchasing and Payables Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Gathering purchasing information from road and office employees by way of telephone, email and in person communication Verifying accuracy of obtained information Inputting data in accounting system Finalizing purchase orders Performing administrative tasks as required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Issue purchase orders for both the US and Canadian operations Enter related information into the system such as quotations, price lists, change orders and any other pertinent email communications Communicate with departments within the company as well as vendors Matching and reviewing received invoices with previously supplied purchase orders Working with the payables team to ensure timely vendor payments

REQUIREMENTS

:

Fluently Bilingual in both French and English, written and spoken Advanced level, oral and written (French and English). The employee in this position will interact more than 50% of the time with international customers, suppliers and colleagues (USA) who understand and communicate only in English.*
Knowledge in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word Good typing skills Positive attitude with good communication skills Accurate and detail orientated Punctual and reliable Organized Able to work in a fast-paced environment Customer service and construction experience (asset) Quick learner Ability to work in a team environment
