Summary
We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team at Cambridge Pro Fab Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure that our manufacturing operations run smoothly. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Hours of Work:
6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday

Responsibilities
Manage relationships with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and quality of materials.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Procure materials and supplies necessary for production in a timely manner.
Process purchase orders, including entering existing POs into the ERP software, updating POs as required, and expediting vendors as required.
Perform systemic receiving activities for consumable goods, project materials ensuring closure of systemic POs upon completion.
Follow up with vendors are required, supporting QA document requirements and receipt of good requirements when needed
Placement of purchase orders with direction from the purchasing manager.
Assist with inventory management including material verifications and inventory management.
Ability to interpret a wide variety of pack slips/BOL.
Keeps accurate records of all transactions and purchase orders
Perform at a high standard while meeting deadlines
Filing of purchasing documents both systemically and physically
Work closely with accounting to ensure that vendor invoices can be traced to purchasing documents
Scanning of associated work documents to assist purchasing and accounting
Troubleshoot systemic issues that involve purchase orders, purchase order receiving and invoicing
Monitor market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
