We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Purchasing Agent with experience purchasing a variety of commercially available goods and services to meet the requirements of BC Ferries.


This position will provide relief coverage for purchasing services on an as required and intermittent basis for our fleet of vessels and other user departments and will perform the following: reviewing, checking, analyzing and pricing requisitions for a wide variety of goods and services; developing, preparing, issuing and awarding contracts including negotiating contract terms; opening formal bids, preparing bid summary reports and performing additional duties as required.


You hold a valid Level 3 of PMAC Accreditation, or equivalent, with 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the purchasing and materials management field with computerized MRP/ERP experience. You also possess negotiation, inventory management, accounting, logistics and organization skills.
