Purchaser Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and issuing Purchase orders and agreements by verifying quantity, quality, cost, inventory requirements and lead time expectations.
• Evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.
• Identify suppliers of goods and services
• Negotiate terms with suppliers such as payment terms, price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
• Liaise with suppliers and category managers regarding updates and details of items.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
• Maintain a healthy relationship with the vendors.
• Trouble shooting through fulfillment issues and resolution.
• Overstock control and stock replenishment.
• File warranty claims with vendors.
• Track and maintain inventory accuracy of SKUs and supplies within portfolio/ Division.
• Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive.
• Maintain accurate and up to date contact information, price contracts and purchase orders within ERP system.
• Work closely with the vendor and the logistics team on on-time delivery of goods at the lowest cost possible while still meeting expected timelines.
• Updating purchasing database to ensure all fields are complete and accurate.

Qualification and Requirements:

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
• Professional certification in APICS and CPIM will be an added benefit
• Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
• Good working knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: spread sheets and word processing documents, Experience with ERP system (NetSuite) and or willingness to learn
• Good oral and written communication skills
