Who We Are
Kinetic Custom Trailers designs and manufactures high-quality, heavy-duty trailers for oil & gas, construction, energy, and specialized equipment sectors. We pair practical, field-tested design with disciplined engineering, fast iteration, and tight collaboration between design, operations, and the customer. Our Texas site in Waco is building an energized, solutions-oriented team with a strong maker culture and a bias for action.
Who You Are
You're not just a supply chain professional - you're a strategic leader who knows how to build efficient systems and mentor high-performing teams. With at least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics (manufacturing strongly preferred), you excel at balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution. You're eager to implement best practices, foster supplier relationships, and align supply chain performance with real-time production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order Management:
Process and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and services required for trailer production.
Order Accuracy & Confirmation:
Verify pricing, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates with suppliers prior to release.
Supplier Follow-Up:
Track open purchase orders and proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
Production Support:
Coordinate with production and inventory teams to prevent material shortages or delays.
Supplier Communication:
Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, backorders, substitutions, and availability.
Issue Resolution:
Resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged shipments, and invoice mismatches.
System Accuracy:
Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP/MRP system.
Continuous Improvement:
Support cost control, process improvements, and purchasing efficiency initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Purchasing Experience:
3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Manufacturing Knowledge:
Experience purchasing raw materials, fabricated parts, or industrial components.
Attention to Detail:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
Technical Understanding:
Ability to read bills of materials (BOMs) or specifications.
Systems Proficiency:
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
Communication Skills:
Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify issues, follow through, and support timely resolution.
