Our company continues to grow, and we are currently looking for a full-time

Purchaser

to work in our

Nanaimo

office location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will report to the Product Manager and Director of Sales, Marketing and Procurement and this role will include, but not be limited to:

o

PURCHASER

o Place orders for All Vendors that fall under your responsibility

o Responsible for all PO's until they are received

o Maintain personal buying calendar accurately

o Minimize shrink and shortages while keeping stock levels at an acceptable level

o Work in conjunction with the Product Manager to identify any problematic items / vendors

o Setup and maintain all items within your portfolio with regards to item setup, price changes, currency exchange and changes in freight charges

o Review fill rates and work with warehouse to verify inventory accuracy

o Review Buying Reports and recommend appropriate product status changes to the Product Manager

Required Skills and Qualifications:

o Prior food purchasing experience an asset

o Effective verbal and written communication skills

o High level of accuracy and attention to detail

o Strong mathematical aptitude

o Ability to work under pressure in a team environment

o Goal oriented self-starter and competitive spirit

o Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

o Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, and time management skills

o Ability to multi-task

Quarterly Loyalty Bonus

This position is full-time Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Salary of $56,000 + quarterly bonus
