Key Responsibilities

Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services

Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased

Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased

Negotiate offers from suppliers, Consult with suppliers and Review quotations

Determine contract terms and conditions

Establish delivery schedules and Monitor progress of delivery schedules

Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization

Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale

Participate in contract negotiations

Maintain inventory of supplies

Experience/ Requirements

2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience

No degree, certificate or diploma required

Proven experience dealing directly with ethnic and international food suppliers

Strong understanding of South Asian food categories and cultural buying patterns

Experience managing price volatility for imported and specialty food products

Experience using ERP-based inventory systems and Microsoft Excel for purchasing and inventory tracking
