MME is growing, and we are looking to add great people to our team! MME is currently seeking a Purchaser with experience in procurement for industrial electrical projects to join our team. Based in Sherwood Park, the Purchaser will be a key member of the team, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment to support our operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, tools, and equipment in alignment with project requirements and company standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.

Ensure all procurement activities align with budget constraints and project timelines.

Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and warehouse personnel to determine material needs and delivery schedules.

Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock availability while minimizing excess.

Prepare purchase orders, review supplier agreements, and verify invoices for accuracy.

Research and evaluate new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.

Resolve supplier issues, including delays, discrepancies, and quality concerns.

Stay up to date with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain developments.

Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for internal stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in industrial or construction sectors.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish cost-effective supplier relationships.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation materials is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
