Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Purchaser to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and ERP systems to support manufacturing operations and meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities



Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as Acumatica, including purchase order creation, tracking, and documentation. Negotiate pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company policies. Manage supplier relationships, and oversee supplier performance to maintain quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning to coordinate procurement needs. Perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or procurement issues and implement corrective actions. Manage procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery, including materials management, logistics coordination, and inventory control. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to optimize sourcing decisions. Maintain the confidentiality of all customer information. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies related to procurement activities.

Skills



Knowledge of softwares like Acumatica is an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines required. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of people and departments (employees, customers, vendors, regulators). Ability to be self-directive and must be able to take ownership of the role and work independently. Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently and accurately. Adaptable, flexible, and open to change.
