Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services necessary for window and door manufacturing operations. This role requires strong vendor management skills, proficiency with ERP system (custom- training provided), and a solid understanding of supply chain processes. The Purchaser will play a critical role in ensuring timely procurement, cost efficiency, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support production schedules and company objectives.

Duties

Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services. Utilize ERP and SQL to track inventory levels, order status, and supplier performance. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains and favorable pricing. Analyze market trends and pricing to optimize procurement strategies. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand material requirements and lead times. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery delays. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards.

Experience

Proven experience in purchasing within a manufacturing or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems used for procurement processes. Experience with vendor management, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, pricing models, MRP systems, and procurement best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Ability to analyze data related to supply chain performance and make informed purchasing decisions. Prior experience in negotiating contracts and managing multiple vendors is highly desirable.
