Want to Join a Growing Team? Our Camrose, Alberta Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Purchaser to support our growing business. Perma-Pipe Canada, Ltd. is a dynamic, global supplier of pipe coating solutions and factory pre-insulated piping systems to the oil & gas, district heating and cooling and industrial markets. OVERVIEW:
- The Purchaser will work with manufacturing, warehouse and store supervisors in order to oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain
- Utilize expert knowledge to purchase goods and services that meet quality requirements and specifications at the most favorable price for the company, while simultaneously building and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Responsible for vendor identification, vendor and contract negotiations, assist with the preparation of proposals (RFQs), technical bid evaluations and all procurement activities
- Forecast and manage parts inventory
- Ensure accuracy of inventory - value and quantity
- Forecast parts requirements in regular consultation with Sales, Order Management, and Manufacturing teams
- Analysis of vendor spend & set up strategic relationships/contracts as required
- Review and process claims against suppliers
- Create & Own the Vendor Management Process
- Daily meetings with Operations/Maintenance to support business functions
- Manage logistics of all issued PO\xe2\x80\x99s for parts & materials \xe2\x80\x93 from time of PO until invoiced
- Work with Vendors, brokers & shipping companies
- Analyze data/Streamline processes with vendors and internal business units
- Manage Warehouse team on all Receiving & local pickups
- Updating Operations/Maintenance on levels of raw materials & parts
- 5 or more years of related experience
- Post-Secondary Degree in Commerce, Business or a related field an asset
- Excellent contract/negotiation skills, writing and communications skills; able to represent the company in Supplier meetings
