The

Purchaser will

be

responsible

for

the

following:



Role:





A Purchaser will support our procurement manager to work with vendors and suppliers to ensure all materials, consumables, and components for manufacturing are ordered in a timely manner. The purchaser will write purchase orders to vendors, review purchasing specifications, request quotations, and work with vendors to streamline production. The purchaser will ensure all required documentation for purchased items are accounted for and appropriately filed in our system to ensure compliance and traceability. They will work with our ERP system to ensure accuracy and accountability with our purchased items.

Duties

Include:



Handle internal requests for purchased materials, tooling, services, or outsourcing Manage tooling and vending machine stock items as required Handles communication to suppliers when obtaining, and negotiating pricing, timing, and quality Follow up with suppliers as required after P.O. is issued to make sure progress is being made and that delivery of purchased product or service will be on time Communicate with receiving on expected shipment deliveries Assist with receiving of purchased items as required, review compliance and documentation Work with quality department on any specific testing or inspection requirements on purchased items Report any quality or timing related issues that occur at an outsource or service vendor to Project Manager Assist procurement manager with management of approved vendor list. Including all vendor information listed, including adding of new vendors Assist procurement manager with other purchasing related tasks as required Assist with compliance and regulatory needs as required Assist procurement manager in periodic tooling inventory counts and reconciliations

Qualifications:



Minimum High School education or equivalent Certification in manufacturing or purchasing considered and asset Mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screening

Experience:



1 to 5 years of work experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience reading engineering and manufacturing drawings an asset Experience in the machining industry is considered an asset Experience working in an ERP systems is considered an asset Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook is required

Core Work hours:



7:30am-4:00pm Monday - Friday
