Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Order Clerk to join our procurement team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth purchasing operations by processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with vendors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify order details, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Maintain and update supplier information and purchase records.
Communicate with vendors to confirm deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet procurement needs.
Assist with invoice reconciliation and resolve billing issues.
Generate reports on purchasing activities and cost analysis.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (Post Secondary is an asset, but not a requirement).
1-2 years of experience in purchasing or administrative support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Preferred Skills
Basic understanding of supply chain processes.
Experience in vendor relationship management.
