We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Punjabi and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient observation, and personal care assistance. Duties
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and observe patients' health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
Administer medications and manage medication records following HIPAA guidelines
Perform vital signs checks such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately
Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, and hospice care support
Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
Support patients with mobility using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards
Requirements
Fluency in Punjabi is essential; proficiency in English is preferred
Prior experience in senior care, long-term care, or home health environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and medical documentation procedures
Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are advantageous
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; experience with live-in employment is a plus
