Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pumping out septic from portable toilets efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle various types of trailers ranging from 16ft to 24ft. Also, dropping off portable washrooms throughout the Fraser Valley and metro Vancouver. Sometimes you will also being doing temporary fence deliveries, the job requires flexibility with longer hours in the summer and we also provide a salting/plowing drive for the winter with longer hours.

Responsibilities

Operate and drive various types of trucks including trailers Strapping down all equipment Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential issues on the route. Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Assist in training new drivers on company policies and safe driving practices.

Qualifications

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a driver with a strong understanding of route driving.. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform lifting tasks as required.
