Pulp and Environmental Technologist

SCOPE

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Pulp and Environmental Technologist will be part of a team with responsibilities for all aspects of pulp, environmental, and quality and work as part of the Technical Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Projects related to environmental compliance and/or performance.
• Audit testing methods
• Troubleshoot testing discrepancies
• Contribute to and/or coordinate process trials
• Contribute to customer quality investigations
• Perform non-routine testing
• Perform process checks
• Extract and use data from the data historian
• Perform statistical analyses
• Support regulatory reporting processes, as required
• Provide coverage for the shift environmental and pulp technicians

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in a sciences field
• Laboratory-related experience in an analytical or industrial setting
• Be a dynamic, career-minded individual
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be highly motivated with proven organizational skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 17025:2017 would be considered an asset.
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
