Job Summary
Fantrax -- The Home of Fantasy Sports -- is seeking an
Publisher Ad Operations Manager
to maximize revenue across our high-traffic fantasy sports platform. With millions of engaged users and massive scale traffic, this role is focused on helping Fantrax unlock the full value of our audience by managing ad operations, building exchange partnerships, and ensuring world-class delivery of advertising experiences.
Responsibilities (Publisher-Centric)
Own Fantrax's
ad serving infrastructure
(Google Ad Manager) to maximize yield and revenue.
Build and grow
relationships with ad exchanges, SSPs, and monetization partners
.
Optimize ad placements and performance across display, mobile, and video inventory.
Ensure
ad quality, brand safety, and compliance
while preserving user experience.
Work with sales leadership to support
direct-sold campaigns
and premium deals.
Analyze revenue trends and recommend strategies to
increase CPMs and fill rates
.
Collaborate with product teams to test new formats, placements, and revenue streams.
Must-Have Technical Skills
Google Ad Manager (GAM/DFP):
Advanced trafficking, reporting, targeting, and troubleshooting
Header Bidding Expertise:
Experience with Prebid.js, Amazon TAM, or Google Open Bidding
Programmatic Ecosystem Knowledge:
Hands-on experience integrating SSPs, DSPs, and ad exchanges
HTML & JavaScript (Basic to Intermediate):
Ability to debug ad tags, troubleshoot scripts, and work with console errors
Tag Management Systems:
Proficiency with tools like Google Tag Manager for deploying and managing ad tags
Proven ability to set floor prices, optimize waterfalls, and improve CPMs/fill rates
Deal Management:
Experience negotiating and running PMPs and programmatic guaranteed deals
Ad Quality & Compliance:
Knowledge of brand safety, ad policy enforcement, and monitoring tools
Privacy Knowledge:
Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and IAB TCF v2.0 consent frameworks
Must-Have Soft Skills
Problem Solving:
Ability to quickly diagnose and fix ad delivery or performance issues
Communication:
Strong written and verbal skills for working with both tech teams and business stakeholders
Collaboration:
Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering
Attention to Detail:
Ensuring accuracy in trafficking, reporting, and partner setup
