New Graduates from Drama or Theater Programs are welcomed to apply.

We are seeking a dynamic and confident Public Speaking Instructor to lead engaging classes that help students develop their communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ideal candidates will have a background in drama, communications, or related fields and experience in public speaking, performance, or even TEDx-style presentations.

This position is perfect for someone passionate about empowering students to find their voice, speak with clarity, and present with confidence in academic or creative settings.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver public speaking lessons for K-8 students Teach key skills such as vocal projection, body language, speech structure, and persuasive speaking Coach students on preparing and delivering speeches, presentations, or performances Create a fun, supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their performance Prepare students for showcases, classroom presentations, or speech competitions

Qualifications:

Experience in public speaking, acting, drama instruction, or debate coaching Background in theatre, communications, or education preferred Prior teaching experience with youth is an asset Experience with TEDx or similar presentation formats is a strong plus Enthusiastic, patient, and skilled at working with students of varying confidence levels Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
