Maverick Learning Center is a tutoring center for grade K to 12 students in Markham, ON L3R 3W5. Our dedicated team consists of Ontario Certified Educators, Subject Degree holders from top universities and well-known Masters with great passion for teaching, proven high efficiency learning skills/method, and years of teaching experience. Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Public Speaking Coach to join our team. As a Public Speaking Coach, you will be responsible for providing guidance and training to our students from grade 1 to 10 seeking to improve their public speaking skills (presentation and interview). Selected students will be able to attend annual TEDx or Model UN events.

Responsibilities:

- Develop personalized coaching plans to address each age group students' specific needs and goals

- Conduct one-on-one or small group (5-10 students per class)coaching sessions to help students improve their public speaking techniques

- Provide constructive feedback on speech content, delivery, and overall presentation skills

- Educate students on effective communication strategies and techniques

- Create a supportive and encouraging environment for students to practice and enhance their public speaking abilities

Experience:

- Previous experience in public speaking coaching or related field

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to educate and inspire individuals to improve their public speaking skills

- Familiarity with different public speaking styles and techniques

- Nice-to-have: Experience in related fields such as Toastmaster, TED talk, education or coaching

- Nice-to-have: Ability to swim (metaphorically, meaning ability to handle challenging situations calmly)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
