Public Relations Executive

Location: Montreal, Full-Time, Mid-Level Experience

What you will be doing:

  • Manage & optimize the company\'s PR strategy (press releases & distribution of press releases).
  • Curate lists of media contacts within a variety of categories relevant to current Valnet portfolios
  • Lead in the planning and execution of PR plans, such as creating project timelines, drafting press releases, etc.
  • Examine current PR strategies and develop new strategies to improve upon current results and/or to meet new goals.
  • Manage corporate reputation by working towards shaping the public perception of the corporate identity.
  • Maintain contact with external stakeholders to ensure continued business relationships and follow-on opportunities.
  • Ensure brand consistency across marking materials
  • Responding to information requests from clients and members of the media
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related experience working in a Public Relations role or equivalent function role.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • Bilingual (fluency in English and French is mandatory).
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills in both English and French.
  • Experience in digital media / publishing industry.
  • Experience collaborating and leading cross-functionally with experience building consensus among. multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment.
