Sugo Communications is looking for a PR Coordinator with superior interpersonal and communication skills who thrives in a creative and fast-paced environment. You have 1-2+ years of experience in agency setting, and thrive in designing and delivering fabulous PR campaigns that make a real impact and garner amazing results.   • Report directly to the Account Manager
  • Work directly with the Account Manger to complete tasks, ensure PR plans stay on track, and achieve desired success
  • Generate press coverage for clients\xe2\x80\x99 programming, as assigned
  • Write, edit and circulate press releases, media information packages, and other communications materials
  • Monitor and manage all social media initiatives for SUGO Communications and its clients
  • Update the SUGO blog as scheduled
  • Locate and track all media mentions and file accordingly
  • Prepare accurate, thorough and timely publicity reports and post-mortem reports for internal and external audiences
  • Ongoing monitoring and organization of contact database
  • Administer the highest level of quality in all work
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years experience working in public relations
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred in communications, journalism or a public relations-related discipline
  • Agency experience a must (boutique or corporate). Previous experience in a food-related industry a bonus
  • Knowledge of major food and lifestyle media throughout Canada
  • Experience in and proven understanding and successes in media relations
  • Capable of demonstrating strong diplomatic and critical listening skills as well as superior analytical and reasoning skills
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate in a clear, concise and compelling manner
  • Extremely organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines
  • Incumbent must have the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intuition for interpersonal relationships and relationship building
  • Extremely proactive with the ability to provide prompt follow-through on projects
  • An organized self-starter capable of working alone or in groups
  • Ability to accept specific direction, with an outstanding work ethic
  • A natural problem solver
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits:
