Public Health Nurse
Job Description
Regular full-time Public Health Nurse positions are available in the Health Department.
The successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree with preparation in Public Health Nursing and will currently be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Durham Region Public Health Nurses work with people of all ages to promote the health of our community. Public Health Nurses implement health education and health communication strategies, influence the development and revision of public policy and build capacity within individuals, families, groups and communities. They address issues such as chronic disease prevention, injury prevention, infectious diseases and reproductive and child health.
Must possess a valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Public Health Nurse Salary Information
- Wage range: $48.48 to $57.72 per hour.
Conditions of Employment
Prior to the start date, the successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within two (2) months from date of hire. Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will also be collected.
