The PHMU program is evolving as a Public Health transformation area of work to continue to support community work. The PHMU work delivers health services to communities across the province supporting emergency preparedness, healthy communities, health protection, early years, and immunization.The Public Health Mobile Unit (PHMU) Driver is part of the collaborative health care team, responsible for the safe operation of the service provision vans. The role may include assisting clients, delivery of supplies, equipment, vaccines, and specimens, set up and tear down of clinic and workspaces, following Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) guidelines, prepare and maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies, provide post-immunization observation, monitor, and support vehicle maintenance, as well as other support functions.
