As part of the continuum of services within the newly established Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program at CAMH, clinical services for child and youth depression are offered in conjunction with the donor-funded Cundill Centre for Child and Youth Depression, a vibrant clinical research centre dedicated to understanding and addressing child and youth depression.

Position Description
The Cundill Centre is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Psychologist who is eligible for a Clinician Investigator appointment through CAMH\xe2\x80\x99s Research Services Office. The successful psychologist will have clinical responsibility, providing direct client service through assessments and treatment to children and youth. In addition, the candidate will also provide expertise in the area of child and youth depression and/or anxiety disorders, training, mentoring, and providing oversight of CAMH staff, trainees and research funds as it relates to the scientific conduct of the research projects. You will lead the development and organization of evidence-based treatment services for children and youth with anxiety and/or depression. The successful applicant will also build a productive clinical research and program evaluation initiative that is fully integrated with clinical services for child and youth depression and ensures clinical interventions and measurement of their effectiveness are embedded in the model of care. In addition to clinical responsibilities and providing assessments and treatment to children and youth, you will also participate in service planning within the Cundill Centre. The capacity to collaborate with others on this interprofessional team and work effectively with the other CYEAP clinics is an important component of this position. Lastly, the successful applicant will support knowledge translation and other academic activities. The position is 50/50 clinical and research.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a registered member (or eligible for college registration) in good standing as a Psychologist in autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and have a doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D., D.Psy.). The successful candidate will be eligible for appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and have a minimum 3 years clinical and research experience with an emphasis in assessment and treatment of child and youth depression/anxiety. The successful applicant will have established knowledge of child and youth mood disorders, anxiety disorders, the complexities associated with comorbidities and trauma, evidence-based assessment and intervention for child and youth. The successful applicant will also have experience with applying for external funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals, as well as engagement in translating research into clinically useful knowledge.

The candidate will have excellent interpersonal and team-building skills and a demonstrated capacity for establishing research collaborations. Extensive knowledge regarding evidence-based practices for assessment and treatment for child and youth depression, including DBT, CBT, MI, trauma and other are also required. Experience with clinical research design, methodology and the capacity to adapt processes for children, youth and families is required. Experience preparing grant proposals and working with a team of investigators is an asset.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced health care environment committed to patient centered care, accountability, collaboration and teamwork and measurement of clinical outcomes. Salary Range: $50.11 - $67.57 per hour
