Your Opportunity:This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist I interested in working with clients living in the community who require complex and/or individualized rehabilitation. We are seeking a Psychologist I to provide psychological assessment and treatment for individuals with new and chronic developmental/medical conditions. This position will provide direct individual and group Psychology services within an interdisciplinary team including many allied health professions and other healthcare providers. Services will be provided in the clinic as well as virtually. The successful candidate will be required to maintain adequate clinical records of services provided and clinical outcomes, provide rehabilitation consultation to other staff, and mentor/supervise new staff, students, and TA's. The Psychologist is also expected to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, community based physicians, community programs, and other stakeholders. The Psychologist will provide effective patient care including making recommendations to support program discharge planning and may provide support to other community sites as operationally required. As part of rehabilitation services, the team member is expected to invest and promote innovative and client-centered approaches.Description:As a Psychologist I, you will work with or within teams to provide a range of standard level psychology services to patients and their families within the established standards, directives, and policies for the work environment. Your services may include psychological screening and/or assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention and promotion, as well as educational activities. You will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals in planning and implementing services that align with best practices and ethical and professional standards. You will provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological factors, barriers and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes and team functioning, and consult and collaborate with teams and community services. Your duties may also include providing supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists and/or masters level psychology students, and providing input into program, policy and/or procedure development in addition to participating in formal research initiatives.
