Position Profile: The Saskatchewan Health Authority, Swift Current is looking for a Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health team. You would be working with an excellent team based group that includes two other Psychiatrists and other Mental Health professionals. This contracted position offers clinical work, in-patient consultations and emergency room coverage. On-call responsibilities are shared between the three Psychiatrists. Office space and support staff are provided by the Region

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Members of the department are eligible for appointment to the faculty of the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, and take part in academic services including teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) in Psychiatry or eligible to write Royal College examination. Applicant will be eligible for provisional or regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
