THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This position will allow you to use your talents to develop business strategies, such as merchandizing and packages, policies, programs and their objectives for communications and marketing activities. Under the direction of the Deputy Manager, the Marketing and Communication Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the marketing activities for local Personnel Support Programs (PSP). The incumbent designs, develops and implements marketing activities and advertising campaigns. As a Marketing and communication coordinator, you will plan, execute and coordinate advertising events and promotions. Additionally, you will develop and maintain the local PSP website and social media platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline AND some years of experience in communications and marketing, or in a related field OR College diploma or certificate in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline AND several years of experience in communications and marketing, or in a related field OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered Experience In initiating market research studies and the analysis of their findings In developing marketing strategies for new areas of business In the preparation of advertising campaigns In project management Of web page maintenance In budget administration In developing, implementing and assessing communications strategies In preparing documents, papers and press releases (Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web) In print & digital media and media relations In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing and in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Canva In HTML and CSS
Knowledge
Of communications and marketing principles Of communication, information and public relations techniques Of sponsorship programs and initiatives Of sports, leisure and community programs Of budget management Of preparing information for websites and social media platforms.
