We are currently looking for a
Prover Test Technician
to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

General Accountability:
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Prover/Test Technician will perform testing duties to ensure that assembled product meets the proving requirements. Will also support and cross train with other members of the team and any other related assigned projects.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Verify the measurement integrity of the devices manufactured for Canadian and Non-Canadian customers
+ Work with government personal for product audit and surveillance audit Non-Canadian Customers
+ Verify the devices and issue certificate in accordance with Romet Quality Management System which include TC test, Pulse Verification and accuracies check at desired flow rates as per RPB Work Instruction in Romet's Quality System.
+ Maintain the records as per Romet Quality Management System Other areas
+ Assist R&D department with projects which require special testing, range ability evaluation etc.
+ Perform tests and make statistical analysis reports
+ Assist quality control administrator to prepare reports and communications to obtain approval/recertification of standards/references
+ Suggest revisions in the Quality Control Document and process booklets
+ Maintain records according to section 17 of Electricity and Gas Inspection Act
+ Identify the major and minor non-conformances to the concerned personal as outlined in Romet's Quality System.
+ Perform weekly, quarterly, and semi-annual maintenance, calibration of standards used for verification of devices, and maintain the log as per government guidelines said down in SA-01-2010 Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
Comply with all quality and safety requirements
All other duties and related projects as assigned
This section applies only to individuals who received specific training and were recognized by Measurement Canada as Sealing Inspector.
Sealing Inspectors are product verifiers or re-verifiers
Responsible for the final quality verification or re-verification of gas measurement devices according to the procedures set in his/her department and Measurement Canada's sealing requirements
Perform inspection and sealing functions as outlined in the QPM Manual
Sign and issue sealing certificates
Control and maintain proper seal inspection records and seal documents
When necessary, inspectors will alert management, QA, Department Heads, Supervisors etc. of possible non-conformance
When applicable Inspectors will assist in the development or improvement of quality processes
Controls "accept and reject" items according to the procedures set out in the QPM Manual
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be able to use various inspection instruments
Must be able to use various testing equipment such as pressure controller, test racks, Bell, or Transfer provers etc.
Strong problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Poses excellent organizational and analytical skills
Must be computer literate - Microsoft applications, Exposure to MRP would be an asset
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Community College Certificate/Diploma in Quality Assurance or Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma or related work experience
Government Canada recognition as a Sealing Inspector
Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in machining environment
Good working knowledge of OHSA and ISO 9001 Systems
Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis training and experience
Lean Manufacturing training and experience
