  • Translates a proposal \xe2\x80\x9cvision\xe2\x80\x9d into a compelling proposal layout. May create compelling graphics and visual communications, involving strategic image selection and/or acquisition.
  • Initiates proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal responsibility matrix and content outline, creation of timeline/assignments and scheduling of pursuit kick-offs.
  • Under minimal direction, completes layout and production of proposal material with a professional and brand complaint style.
  • Evaluates narrative for relevance, comprehension and applicability. May write new proposal narratives as required.
  • Accurately proofs, edits and rewords text to deliver a high quality, complaint, error-free submission on time.
  • Conducts client background research, identifies questions, concerns and potential risks to inform the \'strategic visioning\' and proposal planning stage of the process.
  • Identifies interview requirements and coordinates the presentation resources and collaborates with the proposal team in preparation of presentations and interview.
  • Participates and seeks involvement in outside professional organizations that support the proposal position.
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in a proposal role or in a related role (communications, marketing, visual communications).
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills to effectively establish the priority and scheduling or work tasks.
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills. Ability to produce grammatically sound written communication with a customer focus.
  • Strong working knowledge of proposal fundamentals and best practices.
  • Ability to execute a lean, quality pursuit process and participate in a strategy session.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry practices and new developments (construction process, delivery models, contract types).
  • Competent InDesign layout skills; competent functionality within Adobe Suite of programs (i.e. photoshop, PPT, Illustrator, etc.) with ability to create brand complaint visual content.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant marketing software systems.

The salary range for this position may be $55,000 - $75,000.
